19:00 - [PT] MADEIRA CAT C
Welcome to IVAO Portugal's most famous event, the infamous Madeira CAT C event.
Madeira, being a category C airport, requires a special formation/training to operate as the PIC. This means that only those with that certification will land there.
This event will actually start in Lisbon, where every pilot will attend a briefing. This will include everything one needs to know in order to proper land at Madeira.
Afterwards, there will be a Flight from Lisbon's LPPT to Madeira's LPMA. This is a short 1h30 leg, where every PIC is able to review the procedures for the approach, and then to try it.
By successfully performing the approach, one may obtain a certificate confirming that is able to operate in Madeira.
We are planning 2 sessions for the briefing, one starting at 19z, the other one starting at 20z.
We will be providing ATC.
Upon arrival, an IVAO PT staff member will provide feedback on the approach.
Booking for this event will only be available next Tuesday, the 14th November, around 21z.
This will work as a first come first serve system, due to limited availability.
