On Sunday May 1, The Oceanic Region is hosting the YWOL Wollongong Fly-In also servicing YSSY - Sydney. This event coincides with the Wings Over Illawarra Airshow in which one of our local Virtual Airlines is hosting a stall to demonstrate to the public the concept of flight simulator and flying on IVAO.
In March 2015, Qantas flew a Boeing 747-400 into YWOL Wollongong to become a part of the local Museum there. This is a great opportunity for Pilots to challenge themselves and see if they can land such a large aircraft into such a small airfield. Or why not do an IFR or VFR flight into or out of the airfield.
Small airfield not your thing? We have got you covered, we will also have YSSY Sydney covered for Pilots to fly in or fly out of.

10:00 - [GR+BR] The Olympic Flight
The Olympic Flame is an important symbol in the history of the Olympic Games and represents peace, unity and friendship; also evokes the legend of Prometheus who stole fire from Zeus to give to mortals. The flame is conducted through the torches in a great relay that leads the Olympic message beyond the host city and ending with the lighting of the cauldron at the Games opening ceremony.
The Olympic Torch will be delivered in BrasÃlia, by TAM Airlines in a Boeing 767 which will takeoff from Athens, where the torch will begin its journey to Rio de Janeiro for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games!
