The EAA AirVenture^® Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH/OSH) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States. Sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), an international organization based in Oshkosh, the airshow is the largest of its kind in the country.



EAA was founded in 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as an organization for those building or restoring recreational aircraft. Although Homebuilding is still a large part of the organization's activities, they have grown over the years to include almost every aspect of recreational aviation and aeronautics.



The first EAA fly-in was held in 1953, in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. In 1959, the EAA fly-in moved to Rockford, Illinois. In 1970, when it outgrew its facilities at the Rockford airport, it moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin.



For many years the official name of the event was The EAA Annual Convention and Fly-In. In 1998, the name was changed to AirVenture Oshkosh, but many regular attendees still refer to it as The Oshkosh Airshow or just Oshkosh.



During the duration of the event, the Oshkosh Tower is the busiest one in the world due to the amount of movements in the airport. For so, the a banner is hung in the tower to celebrate that (unofficial) achievement.

The Israel division invites you to join us in our main weekly event called the "Shabat Flight", which means Saturday flight.

The event usually starts at 17:00 UTC (While DST: 16:00 UTC) for three hours until 21:00 UTC (23:00 UTC+2).
During the event we encourage all pilot members and controllers to join.
Each week we also select a special mission or theme to make the event interesting and challenging.

You are welcomed to fly with us over the amazing sites in Israel: over the skies of the Mediterranean sea, the Negev desert or the lowest point on earth by the Dead Sea!

Choose one of our main airports (Ben-Gurion, Eilat, Ovda, Haifa, etc..) or one of our deserted land strips, download the scenery and join us.
