18:00 - [CH] Sion IGS Challenge
It's time for a little challenge. The IGS approach for runway 25 in Sion (LSGS) might be the most interesting instrument approach in Switzerland. Because of the high terrain in the Rhône valley, an ILS approach for runway 25 is not possible. That is why an IGS approach has been established, providing both localizer and glide slope, but 6° offset from the runway centerline. At D7.0 ISI (LOC, 110.7), a visual approach to the runway threshold is initiated.
Take this opportunity to visit Sion and to perform this approach in beautiful, but quite challenging terrain.
