IVAO Australia and New Zealand OIF have officially merged and we now currently operate under our new name of The IVAO Oceanic Region.
We invite you to bring your wings and take part in our 1st official event under the Oceanic Flag.

15:00 - [SOD] Desert Strike
At the turn of 2014/2015, some paragraphs of the R&Rs have changed. The Special Ops department was also affected. With the changes, much more is now possible. The limits have been increased significantly. The primary goal of this training exercise is to show the participants (SOCs/SOACs, SOGs and “normal users” of the SO Community) what is possible in accordance with the currently valid R&Rs and SO Directive (How far can you go. Where are the limits. What is and is not permitted).
Due to the fact that there are so many different focuses, we have decided to begin with an air-ground training.
The training exercise will take place within the so-called “White Sands Missile Range”, which is the largest military installation in the US with approximately 8,300 square kilometers (3,200 sq mi).
We also use some parts of the „McGregor Range Complex“ at Fort Bliss. With an area of about 4,400 square kilometers (1,700 sq mi), it is the Army's second-largest installation, behind the adjacent White Sands Missile Range.

On October 18th 2015 we want to push the small aircraft and airports. So bring your wings to the Regional-Airport Erfurt (EDDE). It is your purpose as a pilot to land in Erfurt between 16 - 17z. There is no overall restriction in the aircraft category, however as we are seeing the last few sunny autumn afternoons we would recommend you to visit Erfurt VFR. But of course, every IFR-traffic is as well very welcome. There will be another special feature for VFR traffic on this day, which will be published one day before the event starts.
